Blackdome Music Presents Francisco Roldán and Guitar Music of Latin America at Windham Fine Arts Gallery. This program for solo guitar will include works by composers from Venezuela, Columbia, Argentina, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic and will include a Pre-Concert Reception. Roldán is a Colombian-born guitarist that has performed throughout the U.S. and abroad as a soloist, with chamber ensembles and with orchestras.  His concerts have included appearances at Alice Tully Hall, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Library, and the Mannes Guitar Festival. He has released five recordings.  His newest album, Instruments of the People, was released in 2016.  Artists that will be highlighted in the gallery include Ruby Reichardt, Samir Sammoun, and Kevin Cook.  Reichardt was born in the Netherlands and made her way to the states after moving to New York to launch her career.   She will be exhibiting oil on paper works at the gallery.  Samir Sammoun offers fresh and colorful impressionistic renditions of Mediterranean landscapes he recalls from his childhood. His work can be found in galleries all over the US, Canada, and England. Kevin Cook provides a touch of tonalism to his beautiful landscape paintings of the Catskills.
