Crossroads Brewing Company is on the Catskills Beverage Trail
Crossroads Brewing Company

Crossroads Brewing Company in Athens offers menu specials that pair perfectly with what's on the rotating tap. Built in the former Brookes Opera House, the brewing company specializes in casual, friendly pub fare. Don't miss their Brady's Bay Cream Ale, made with German Pilsner Malt, German Caramel Pils, and Honey Malt for a balanced brew with just a hint of sweetness, or the Black Rock Stout, which won a World Beer Cup gold medal in 2014.

Hammos Brewpub is on the Catskills Beverage Trail
Hammo's Brewpub & Lodge

Hammo's Brewpub & Lodge in Hensonville, one of the newest microbreweries in the Catskills, offers a one-stop shop for dining, drinking, and sleeping! Enjoy traditional pub fare, an entire section of the menu devoted to macaroni and cheese options, as well as Indian-inspired cuisine. Hammo's offers a mix of homebrews and guest taps, but their most unique beer has to be their own Cucumbeer, a blonde ale where the crisp flavor of ripe cucumbers blends with the refreshing flavors of ale. One more must-try is the Straw-Beery, which offers subtle hints of berry and pairs perfectly with salmon!

Cave Mountain Brewing Company
Cave Mountain Brewing Company

At Cave Mountain Brewing Company, Greene County's first brewery, expect to find award-winning beer and burgers at the Windham-based brew pub. Cave Mountain's beers are brewed on-site, and include a nice Blueberry Wheat that satisfies from first to last sip as well as a Sweet Oatmeal Stout, among others.

Honey Hollow Brewery on the Catskills Beverage Trail
Honey Hollow Brewery

Honey Hollow Brewery in Earlton is a “do-it-yourself” farm brewery producing small batches of hand-crafted ales in a garden. That’s right, a garden. How’s that for a unique tasting room? In winter or inclement weather, enjoy a pint in their cozy indoor tasting room. All of Honey Hollow’s beers are made with New York State-sourced ingredients, and their batches are so small, they’re technically a “sub-nano” brewery – which means they don’t brew more than one batch at a time. Try their Smash Orange and Vanilla Porter!

Rip Van Winkle Brewing Company on the Catskills Beverage Trail
Rip Van Winkle Brewing Company

The Rip Van Winkle Brewing Company sprung out of Angela's Italian Bistro in Catskill, under the direction of award-winning Brewmaster Nat Collins, successfully marrying two of our favorite things: beer and pizza. All beers on tap pay homage to the Catskills history, including the Mountain House Light, a German-style golden lager dedicated to the Catskill Mountain House, the region's first luxury hotel.

Hudson Chatham Winery in Tannersville
Hudson-Chatham Winery Tannersville

Last, but certainly not least, is the Catskills Beverage Trail's only winery stop: the Hudson-Chatham Winery Tannersville offering award-winning wines produced using New York grapes grown in the Catskills and Hudson Valley. Enjoy a flight of wines, and don't miss the Hudson-Chatham Empire Reserve Red Blend, which was reviewed by Wine Enthusiast magazine, and noted for its "scents of fall foliage."
